About Time!

Wow, you have a really fun weekend and then you realize it's Tuesday and you haven't updated your blog yet!!

Okay, I'm going to give you the quick summary...I'll try at least to be quick! Friday night we went to the college's basketball games. My oldest had fun chasing around another 3 year old and getting really sweaty and tired. He fell asleep within minutes of getting home. We had fun socializing and spending time chatting with friends.

Saturday was spent celebrating my husband's birthday. We went to Lincoln and did......shopping....you knew that was coming right? His birthday surprise was/is a new TV. We've been wanting one for our bedroom and there are just such great deals right now since the economy......enough said. We liked a certain kind that is 26 inches because it is for our bedroom so we wanted one that was small enough yet had a good enough size screen. We also wanted a flat screen for our wall since we live in a small space. If you've been inside our on campus housing, you know what I mean. Don't get me wrong, I love living for free and saving like crazy but it's small....

Anyway, apparently 26'' flat screens are super popular because Best Buy didn't have the kind we were wanting so we had to order it. But, in 5-7 business days, my husband will finally be able to really experience his present:)

We did some other stuff in Lincoln Saturday but I'm trying to be quick:) Sunday was of course church. It snowed about 6 inches on Friday so we were going to take the boys out to play in the snow. But, it was a little too cold for little boys, so we stayed indoors. Seeing as neither of them have been sick for a long time, I'm glad we don't chance it with the cold.

Sunday night was our usual small group get together. We had a Valentine's Day theme with candy and a girl in our group made us all take-home valentine bags with candy. I love our group!

We spent Sunday afternoon cleaning out our closet. I know that seems silly but our closet is a disaster. I took pictures to prove it! I'll post the before/after later in the week. We went through everything and got rid of 100, yes 100, pieces of clothing. It was time for it to go! We bagged it up to take to Goodwill..or Salvation Army...I can't remember which one is downtown:)

This week is probably one of the busiest weeks of the semester for us. I'm trying to wrap up a lot in my classes before mid-terms coming up shortly. Can you believe that mid-terms are already around the corner?!?!

Thursday night I'll be packing for the weekend. Friday after my classes, we'll be heading out of town for the weekend. My whole family (parents/brother/niece/sister-in-law/us) is going to Missouri to celebrate my grandma's 80th birthday! It should be super fun. We're having a celebration with my family down there on Saturday. We're looking forward to seeing extended family and celebrating together. I only hope that when I'm 80, my whole family surrounds me with love and cherishes spending time together.

Alright, was that a long enough post or what! Tomorrow, I'll do an update on the boys and what they are up to lately. I'll be posting another ingredient in my "A Simple Change" series of posts. I'll also post this week the before/after pictures of our closet clean-out project. Then Friday around lunch-time, we're packing up the car and heading to MO. Last time we were there, it was 68-70 degrees, so it should be a fun warm weekend with family.

Enjoy your week!
